These issues don’t just frustrate individuals; they weaken trust in digital banking, limit financial inclusion, and slow down economic participation. Other fintech try but often miss the mark with generic solutions that don’t reflect local realities.
Beta Bank was created to change this. With intelligent, personalized features, offline-friendly design, and real support, it empowers Nigerians to bank better. The result? Process
User Research: The rationale behind this is that, do people really need these features? A confirmation of our solution proposition, insights that could help pivot our design approach and inform business analysis, this prompted me to conduct survey using google form, carried out SWOT Analysis, competitive analysis, Feasibility study and also Market Trends Evaluation.
Ideation & Conceptualization: With research insights both UX Research and business evaluation help me to generate and shape ideas on how to approach the process, to understand the potential loopholes to look out for and also recommendations which later contributed to the success of the project.
Design Execution:
Skeching/Wireframing:
In collaboration with designers, business analysts and UX Researcher, we came up with visual interfaces that not only address the core user's problems but also resonate with Nigerians.Prototyping:
Using Figma, I brought the designs to life with interactive prototypes. These gave a real sense of how the app would feel in use. I ran live demos to gather feedback and ensure the flow was both functional and engaging.UI Design:
The final interface featured bold, vibrant colors to spark interest and retain attention. Accessibility and clarity were key priorities. I incorporated feedback from stakeholders to refine the design, making sure it not only looked appealing but also aligned with the app’s core purpose.
User Testing & Iterations: To evaluate the app’s usability, I conducted remote user testing through qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys. I observed user behavior to identify points of confusion and features they appreciated. Insights from these sessions guided several design iterations, refining layouts, simplifying user flows, and enhancing interactions.
Final Presentation & Documentation: To conclude the project, I prepared a comprehensive presentation and design documentation that captured the entire journey from research and insights to the final design solutions.
